BEGINNING OF A POLITICAL LIFE

In the 1934( 1990 B.S) earthquakes, Regmi was actively enganged in relief operations by organizing a corps of volunteers. It was also the beginning of his political career, when Regmi and his associates decided to launch a campaign in Nepal, similar to that already launched in India under Mahatma Gandhi. They organized themselves in a group which was joined later by Nepalese students from other Indian Universities. This was the seedling, which was to grow into a big tree, as India became free and independent.
