Interaction with Indian Freedom Fighters

Outside Nepal, Dr. Regmi came into close contact with prominent Indian leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai, Subhas Chandra Bose, and his elder brother Sarad Chandra Bose in the struggle against British colonialism. He inspired the Nepalese in India to rise and revolt against the Rana Autocracy. For his activities against the British, Regmi had to face a rigorous life in Indian prisons.
